Reesa Parker Industry Interview - Part 1

Reesa Parker

The President of RevoText LLC (revotext.com), co-founder of GPS LLC (gps.llc), a Certified Realtime Reporter, and a Past President of the National Court Reporters Association. Reesa has over 43 years of industry experience and is a leader within the Court Reporting world which gives her a unique perspective into the transition to remote.

Her legal interest began at a young age after becoming a national championship typist.

The Transition to Remote

The 2020 COVID transition to remote depositions was a challenge across the legal space. Reesa’s company, RevoText, gave her a unique view of the industry as they provide remote court reporters to the court system and in the courtroom. Her agency, GPS, was founded with remote in mind and they quickly found their premier remote deposition provider, vTestify.

By leveraging fully remote reporters, GPS had reporters virtually attend depositions in locations where agencies usually can’t get coverage; not only did this increase access to justice but it also reduced costs. GPS and vTestify began their partnership just four months prior to the pandemic, allowing GPS to smoothly transition their clients to remote using a built for legal solution while others were attempting to create stopgap solutions.
